Personalized Web-to-Print - Postcard - Marcotte Ford Sales
A Ford Motor Company Franchised Auto Dealership in Holyoke, MA - needed a strategy to follow up with unsold customers in a timely and non-confrontational way who visited the showroom and shopped for a new vehicle but did not purchase.
Andrews designed and developed a Web-to-Print, 6x9 postcard - "Thanks for Stopping By". Due to the nature of retail auto sales, Marcotte needed a time effective method of staying in touch with unsold customers in a timely manner. By employing Web-to-Print technology, a personalized direct mail card could be printed as they were ordered - the way to achieve Marcotte's needs.
Each salesperson was setup with a user login, password and profile. Each profile contained the sales person photo and all of their contact info. When a salesperson logs into their user portal - their information is pre-populated onto the postcard - this accomplishes 2 very important items - 1. having critical information correctly entered each and every time 2. making easy for the saleperson to send an unsold followup fast. The only information the salesperson must enter is the prospect's name and address. Then they select, from a drop down menu, the type of vehicle that the customer shopped/test-drove. An optional P.S. box was added to enable the salesperson to attach a personal note to the prospect.
This strategy puts the salesperson and Marcotte Ford back in front of the customer in a non-confrontational way. Unsold customers receive a "Thanks for Stopping By" postcard typically within 24-business hours of visiting the dealership.
